Canadian Export Declaration Form B-13

A. The Regulations respecting the Reporting of Exported Goods can 
   be found in Memorandum D20-1-0.

1. Goods being exported from Canada are required by law under the
   Customs Act, Part V, section 95 to 97.2 to be reported to the
   Government of Canada.

2. Air, Marine, and rail carriers are responsible for submiting a
   seperate  cargo report required under these regulations, in
   addition to B-13  forms entrusted to them by exporters. The D3
   series of Customs   Memoranda outline where and when a cargo
   report is required.

3. Exporter is ultimately responsible for the preparation and
   submission of the Export Declaration. When a B-13 form is used
   it should be delivered to the carrier who moves the goods to
   the point of exit or directly to the exporting carrier.

4. It is acceptable for an agent,broker, or carrier to prepare and
   submit the declaration on exporter's behalf. In such cases the
   name and phone number of the person who prepared the declaration 
   should appear on the report. 

B. Goods Requiring an Export Decelaration.

1. All Commercial and Non-Commercial Goods Valued at  CA$ 2,000.00
   or more must be declared on export declaration expect exports
   from Canada entering U.S.A market for  U.S. Domestic consumption.

2. The export of certain goods are controlled, prohibited or regulated
   by law. Detailed information of these commodities may be found in
   the D19 Series of Customs Memoranda or by contacting the Dept.
   of External Affairs.

   When such shipments are exported, and a permit, certificate, etc is
   required to be submitted, an export declaration must be submitted
   regardless of value or destination and regardless of whether or not
   a B-13 form is required unless the goods are destined to remain in
   the U.S.A.

3. Goods exported from a Customs bonded warehouse or an Excise
   bonded warehouse are required to be reported at the point of
   exit.

4. All Goods that entered Canada for Repairs or Additions valued
   at CA$ 2,000.00 or more are to be declared as exports.

C. How to Declare an Export ( There are two methods ).

1. By subimission of an Export Declaration Form B-13 for each
   individual shipment or

2. For qualified exporters on a monthly summary of individual shipments
   using formats outlined by Statistics Canada.
